On Friday, PM Narendra Modi interacted with doctors of Varanasi through video conferencing. During this time, Prime Minister Modi got emotional remembering the people who died from Corona. Now the front page photo of NYT (New York Times) is getting viral on social media, which is being claimed that the news paper has compared PM Modi’s cry to crocodile tears.
There is a photo of a weeping crocodile on the front page of the newspaper being shared on whatsapp. Heading with photo is written – “Indian Prime Minister crying”.
The date of 21 May has been written on the viral photo of the newspaper. So we checked its 21 May International Edition on the NYT (New York Times) website.
On its front page, we find a photo of Syrian Benish. Where people have solar panels installed on the roof of their houses.
New York Times Opinion staff editor Basharat Peer also tweeted about this fake photo.
