Fact Check : – Recently we got a viral message which claimed that the second wave of Corona in India has spread due to 5G testing. So know the truth of the message that goes viral.
The ministry of communications’ department of telecommunications has said fake messages are being circulated on various social media platforms claiming the widespread of 2nd wave of COVID 19 Virus has been caused due to 5G mobile towers testing and that they are “false and incorrect”.
As per DoT, “There is no link between 5G testing and widespread of COVID-19 virus and they are urged not to believe in false information and rumors’ spread in this matter”. The claims linking the 5G testing with the COVID-19 pandemic are false and have no scientific proof.
However, in our review we don’t found any evidence or proof with the viral post. Currently, 5G trials in India is in initial stage. Both the WHO (World Health Organization) and the Ministry of Health have said that there is no evidence linking the Corona deaths to 5G networks.
As per World Health Organization : -“Viruses cannot travel via radio waves/mobile networks. Corona Virus is spreading in many countries that do not have 5G mobile networks”.
About 5G Technology:
Mobile towers emit non-ionising radio frequencies, that have very minuscule power and are not capable of causing any kind of damage to living cells, including human beings.
The department of telecommunications has prescribed norms for exposure limit for the radio frequency field, which are 10 times more stringent than the safe limits prescribed by the international commission on non-ionising radiation protection (ICNIRP) and recommended by the WHO.
